Now it begins in earnest

It's been something like three months since I started back up into FFXI. After all that time, it's finally time for me to begin leveling the job that I truly want to play: Samurai. Thanks to a badass group composed of mostly Sabotender members (including a PL who has the hots for BT /snicker) and Mo's help with the actual NM fights. Currently I'm waiting for some gear to sell (goodbye all that Merc Captain's gear, it was good knowing you!) and then I'm thinking of going out to Bastok and camping for both the Bounding Boots and the Katayama Ichimonji. I'm most definitely going out for the Great Katana, and the Bounding Boots would simply be a bonus. Maybe I'll make BT camp for one while I camp for the other (haha, like he'd go for that!).

Sometimes I question the wisdom of completely starting over in FFXI, but it seems to be working out so far. I'm having a blast, though at times looking for group completely sucks ass, I really need to bring my PS2 back into my Den and play it while waiting. I've also been incredibly lucky with the parties I've gotten. Even in the Shitadel, where I was grouped with a RDM/NIN who dual wielded swords and constantly meleed the mob and seemed to forget what his spells were, I was still able to help the party make chains 4 and sometimes 5.

Of course, I'm still playing WoW too. Suppose that's a wash. One game for grouping (FFXI) and one for raiding (WoW).
